federal financial aid

  • pell grant

    federal pell grants are usually awarded to people in financial need and do not have a bachelors, graduate or professional degree. A federal pell grant unlike a loan, does not have to be paid back, except under certain circumstances.

  • subsidized loans

    these loans are for undergraduate students with financial need, it is determined by your cost of attendance minus your expected family contribution and other financial aid. subsidized loans do not accrue interest while you’re in school.

  • unsubsidized loans

    these loans are not based on financial need. interest is charged during school, deferment and grace periods.
